Manage team access

Manage access to Meta Quest headsets through the Admin Centre. Organisations can also manage and provision accounts for their organisation through automated provisioning and integration with major identity providers.

Centrally manage your Meta Quest headsets

Through the Admin Centre, you can bulk provision, set device presets and review device statuses, as well as configure certificate-based WiFi support, request PIN reset or remote wipe devices. Admin Centre gives you direct control of all your Meta Quest headsets, with a built-in MDM solution alongside optional integrations with third-party MDM providers, namely ArborXR, Ivanti, ManageXR, Microsoft Intune and Omnissa Workspace ONE. In order to manage Quest devices through these supported third-party MDM providers, customers must have a Horizon managed services subscription tied to the device.

Customise your company's work experiences with confidence. Admins can deploy and manage private apps to Meta Quest headsets through the device manager via an APK link or through a dedicated business channel. Admins can also control which applications users can see and download by deactivating access to the Quest App Store in the device configuration settings for managed devices.

CASTING

Share in-headset experiences

With Casting, you can improve deployment efficiency, sharing and collaboration by displaying the headset experience in real time, to external displays.

  • Improve sharing: Enable Individual Mode or Shared Mode users to cast to anyone (inside or outside their company with a dedicated access code or unique URL)

  • Train more effectively: Enable admins, trainers and teachers to initiate a cast from any device in their device group. Admins, trainers and teachers can view multiple casts in one window simultaneously

SHARED MODE

Share devices across the whole team

Shared Mode allows Meta Quest devices to be shared by multiple people, while giving admins the ability to decide which apps they're able to use. Shared Mode is great for training, and learning and development (L&D) use cases.

Shared Mode devices can be bulk provisioned by admins in Admin Centre. Configurations are flexible and customisable, and can be personalised with an organisation's logo.

Within Shared Mode, admins have the option to require users to log in with a managed Meta account or not.

Who can sign up for the Meta Horizon managed services?

Meta Horizon managed services is available to organisations domiciled in a supported country and their authorised users. You can purchase Meta Quest headsets before or after you sign up for the Meta Horizon managed services, and you can also add more headsets into your business account as your business scales. Meta work accounts are required to unlock Meta Horizon managed services features, such as device management and single sign-on.

Can I manage a Quest device through a third-party MDM provider?

Yes, third-party MDM enrolment allows admins to connect their Horizon managed services instance to their preferred MDM supplier. In order to manage Quest devices, customers must have a Horizon managed services subscription tied to the device. Horizon managed services support five third-party MDM providers: ArborXR, Ivanti, ManageXR, Microsoft Intune and Omnissa Workspace ONE. Any costs associated with third-party integrations are not included in the Meta Horizon managed services subscription.

Which Meta Quest devices are compatible with Meta Horizon managed services?

Meta Quest 3S, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 2 are compatible with Meta Horizon managed services.

What age must a Meta Horizon managed services user be?

Meta Horizon managed services administrators must be 18 (or older, depending on the age of legal majority where they reside).

Individual Mode end users of Meta Horizon managed services must be 18 (or older, depending on the age of legal majority where they reside).

In Shared Mode only, end users must be 13 (or older, depending on the applicable legal requirements where they reside).

What happened to Quest for Business?

We are renaming Quest for Business to Horizon Managed services to reflect how this solution unlocks Horizon for audiences that need to manage the devices and experiences for their teams and students. Horizon OS is ready for the workplace and the classroom.
