CASTING

Share in-headset experiences

With Casting, you can improve deployment efficiency, sharing and collaboration by displaying the headset experience in real time, to external displays.

  • Improve sharing: Enable Individual Mode or Shared Mode users to cast to anyone (inside or outside their company with a dedicated access code or unique URL)

  • Train more effectively: Enable admins, trainers and teachers to initiate a cast from any device in their device group. Admins, trainers and teachers can view multiple casts in one window simultaneously

SHARED MODE

Share devices across the whole team

Shared Mode allows Meta Quest devices to be shared by multiple people, while giving admins the ability to decide which apps they're able to use. Shared Mode is great for training, and learning and development (L&D) use cases.

Shared Mode devices can be bulk provisioned by admins in Admin Centre. Configurations are flexible and customisable, and can be personalised with an organisation's logo.

Within Shared Mode, admins have the option to require users to log in with a managed Meta account or not.

Meta Horizon managed services is available to organisations domiciled in a supported country and their authorised users. You can purchase Meta Quest headsets before or after you sign up for the Meta Horizon managed services, and you can also add more headsets into your business account as your business scales. Meta work accounts are required to unlock Meta Horizon managed services features, such as device management and single sign-on.

Yes, third-party MDM enrolment allows admins to connect their Horizon managed services instance to their preferred MDM supplier. In order to manage Quest devices, customers must have a Horizon managed services subscription tied to the device. Horizon managed services support five third-party MDM providers: ArborXR, Ivanti, ManageXR, Microsoft Intune and Omnissa Workspace ONE. Any costs associated with third-party integrations are not included in the Meta Horizon managed services subscription.

Meta Quest 3S, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 2 are compatible with Meta Horizon managed services.
